Bookclub
Love to read? Want to talk about it? Our Bookclub meets the last Thursday of the month at 7 pm sharp. Cost is $5 per person. This is our longest running on-going event since the first month we opened for business in 1993. The books are chosen three months at a time. The current book information is on our Facebook page. Fiction Writers Workshops
If you are interested in writing and want some constructive feedback this might be a good fit for you. We have two groups meeting every Monday at 5 pm and 7 pm. The 5 o’clock meeting is $6 per person and includes a latte. This group is still open for new members. The 7 pm group is closed to new members and is currently at capacity. Check Facebook or the current Newsletter in the coffeehouse for status changes.
Knitting
Join us every Thursday afternoon from 4-5 pm for our “Sip-n-Knit”. All levels of knitters are welcome. We can even teach you and you can add a few rows to our “World’s Longest Scarf Project”. Or just come by and take a look at the scarf. It’s our on-going community project since 2005. It’s been on local TV news and there have been at least five newspaper articles written about it over the years. It was featured in Vogue Knitting International. Knit on, pearl two.
Movie Discussion Group
Are you a movie buff? Want to meet others like you? Our Movie Discussion Club (F-Group) Meets every third Tuesday at 7 pm. A usually very invigorating talk ensues…no fights so far. The movies are chosen at each meeting for the next one. Choices are from new to old, 3-D to black and white. Come join the fun. Costs $5 per person.
Deep Thinkers Club
Got thoughts? Want to meet with others and discuss a chosen topic? Well, Deep Thinkers meet on the 2nd Thursday of every month. Charge is $5.00 per person. A topic is chosen at each meeting for the next discussion. Check Facebook or our monthly Newsletter for topic updates. Keep thinking!
Armchair Poetry Reading Series
The first Saturday at 7 -9:30 pm…this is Kitsap County’s longest running monthly poetry reading series. We have three scheduled readers and end the evening with an open mic. Come early to sign up. Always an outstanding event! Check Facebook or our Newsletter for reader information updates.
Mahjong
It’s Mahjong Wednesday! Yay! Come have fun with the No-Luck Mahjong Club every Wednesday at 2 pm for as many games as you can play until 5 pm. If you don’t know how to play, we can teach you. So come join us and “make the birds sing”. Beginners are always welcome.
Art Gallery
Enjoy our walls decorated with a new exhibit every two months. Check with Facebook or our monthly Newsletter for artists and titles. Past shows included oils, pastels, watercolors, clay, fabric and wood. An eclectic mix of local artists and art.
